Mrs Hinch fans praise £1.49 'game changer' product for condensation

A savvy Mrs Hinch fan has noted a nifty way of stopping condensation from accumulating on windowsills too much this winter - a problem that can quickly lead to mould and all sorts of other difficulties.

The cleaning enthusiast took to a popular Mrs Hinch page on Facebook recently to explain how she was using her spare to room to keep the airer for her washing, as she is reluctant to switch the heating on to dry it all.

Now, she's on the hunt for a dehumidifier to prevent mould from growing. The house-proud woman wrote: "Due to the obvious rise in costs, I am wondering if the pictured dehumidifiers are effective or if I’m better off getting an electric one."

She then went on to share a photo of a dehumidifier that uses crystals to absorb moisture, aiming to stop household damp, mildew and condensation from becoming an issue, reports the Mirror.

A pack of four interior dehumidifiers costs £6.99 on Amazon, adding up to a modest £1.74 each. At B&M, customers can also pick up a single dehumidifier for just £1.49.

Members of the cleaning group were extremely impressed with this clever hack, with many claiming they have already seen brilliant results in their own homes.

Some pointed out that the woman could get the product even cheaper at her local pound shop, and encouraged her to give it a go herself from whatever shop she chose.

One person commented: "I put them next to my clothes when they dry and they are fab. Last a good few weeks as well and helps loads. Also got them in the windows as hate condensation on them."

A second remarked: "These are fine for small spaces, I’ve used them in cupboards with success. "I’ve recently bought a dehumidifier with laundry function though and it’s been a game changer."
