Mrs Hinch fans hail 'amazing' £1 tip for cleaning oily cooking stains from kitchen surfaces

Fans of cleaning expert Mrs Hinch have shared a way to banish oily stains from kitchen surfaces - and it will cost as little as £1.

One person asked members of the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group how to get rid of the stubborn stains. They wrote: "How do I get rid of oily cooking stains from my kitchen cabinets? Thanking you in advance."

In the comments, a number of people suggested a product called Elbow Grease, which can be bought at a cheap price in some stores. It is available from the Pound Shop for £1, B&M for £1.19, and £1.20 at Wilko.

The instructions say: "Spray evenly over the surface, wait a few minutes then wipe with a damp cloth. A second application may be required depending on build-up."

It's also safe to use on fabrics, metals, and plastics, and is suitable for kitchen surfaces, carpets, microwaves and barbeques, reports The Mirror. Many people described it as "amazing" in the comments, saying that it "works great".

Someone else wrote: "Elbow Grease is 100% the best", and another suggested that they could "get it from B&M bargains."

Another said: "Hot soapy water, Elbow Grease wash up liquid, and dry. Don't use harsh chemicals as it takes away the protective layer."
