Mrs Hinch fans clean tile grout 'amazingly' in just 10 minutes with 95p cupboard staple

If you have tiles in your bathroom or kitchen, then you'll know that the grout in between them can become discoloured and grimy if left too long without a good cleaning.

But scrubbing at tile grout the traditional way, with a toothbrush, is a laborious job that nobody really wants to do - which is why fans of cleaning guru Mrs Hinch have shared their easy solution to have your grout looking good as new in no time.

In a Facebook group dedicated to sharing cleaning hacks, one person recently asked what the best way to tackle tile grout is, and people were more than happy to share their ideas.

The post, shared on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips page, was inundated with responses offering a variety of cleaning solutions, but one of the most popular tips was to use a mould spray.

In particular, people hailed the Astonish Mould and Mildew Blaster Spray, which costs just 95p from Wilko, £1.19 from Asda, and £1.25 from Morrisons, as well as being available at several other retailers.

One person said: "Astonish mould and mildew spray! Leave 10 to 15 minutes then clean."

While another added: "Astonish mould and mildew and a scrubbing brush. Costs you a few pounds and works amazingly!"

Someone else had a similar suggestion as they recommended using Dettol's mould spray, although that is slightly more expensive at £3.50 from Sainsbury's, while Cillit Bang Black Mould Remover Foam Spray costs £4.75 from Asda.

Other suggestions from Facebook users included using a steam cleaner, bleach, Cif, baking soda and a magic eraser.

"I use the toilet bleach on the grout," one woman replied, "Quick scrub to get it into the grout. Leave it for an hour or two and rinse. So easy."

As another posted: "After eight years of wiping, mopping and steam-cleaning I found Cif and a toothbrush were the best for my floor tile grout. I'm pleased with the result."
