A fan of cleaning expert Mrs Hinch has revealed a way to clean oven racks using fabric softener.
The hack to remove "burnt-on grease" from the metal racks, using the common household item, was shared on social media. On a Facebook group, Sarah wrote: "I actually hate cleaning my oven racks. Saw a tip for soaking them in hot water with fabric softener and thought it was worth a shot.
"It works like a dream! Can you tell which half I’ve soaked? The burnt-on grease just came off so easily with a gentle wipe using a scourer. Game changer!"

Sarah posted a photo of the oven racks which showed where she had cleaned them with the laundry conditioner and where she hadn’t, reports The Express. The oven rack was clean and shiny where she had used the laundry conditioner and dirty with burned-on food debris where she hadn’t cleaned them.
Sarah’s post was inundated with responses from Mrs Hinch fans who were surprised by the hack’s results and wanted to try it themselves. Meisha Robinson said: “I’m going to try this. I’ve just wasted an hour of my life using a metal scraper and I’m not getting anywhere.”
Karen Barbour added: “Wow, what a fantastic tip thank you so much. Yours looks great.” June Webster wrote: “I’ve just done mine today, amazing! My oven has never been so clean.” And Holly Ewens said: “Oh my goodness, just done this and they are sparkling, honestly can’t believe how easy it was.”
