Mrs Hinch fan shares 'minimum effort' way to clean oven racks with no scrubbing

Oven racks can be a nightmare to clean with stains and spills being baked on by the heat.

Attempting to clean the shelves is a job we often try and avoid doing, knowing it will require a lot of elbow grease to uncover the silver surface hiding underneath.

But one Mrs Hinch fan has shared her brilliant 'minimum effort' hack to make the job a breeze - and it requires absolutely no scrubbing, as reported by OK!

Posting to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, she wrote: "A client asked for tips or advice on how to clean her oven but especially the racks.

“I sent her this and this morning she sent me back some photos.

She leaves them in the bath overnight (Facebook)

"Firstly wrap your racks in tin foil. Place in the bath with two dishwasher tablets and cover in hot water. Leave overnight.

"As you can see from her photos. Maximum result, minimum effort."

With many left impressed by the before-and-after pictures, one questioned why the dishwasher tablet was placed on top of the foil, rather than inside.

Other members were left blown away by the results (Facebook)

They commented: "I’m confused. Surely it would be better to have the dishwashing tablet inside the foil?"

However, another replied to say: "There is a chemical reaction between the aluminium foil and the dishwasher tablets."

Another thanked her for sharing the simple solution, writing: "I followed this technique and it worked so well on my racks. They’re like brand new."

Previously another cleaning fan shared an easy technique to get electric hobs sparkling clean.

After scrubbing the rings, she was still unhappy with the white marks left behind, and rubbed a few drops of baby oil on the tricky areas.

The scuffs and stains instantly disappeared, and her cooker was left looking as good as new once again as others vowed to try it out themselves.
