Mrs Hinch fan shares 'game changing' tip to remove mould from blinds with no scrubbing

When you're cleaning your home there are sometimes certain things you may accidentally forget. One of the often-neglected tasks may be cleaning your blinds, which can become mouldy and begin to look unsightly if you leave them too long.

Mould and mildew need only a damp, moist environment and organic material to establish themselves and thrive, and that's why blinds can become an easy culprit.

One woman has suggested a way to get rid of mould which she tried on her vertical blinds on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group - and she shared her impressive before and after photos.

She recommended a mould and mildew spray as it made her blinds look as good as new (Facebook)

She wrote: "My vertical blinds were covered in mould. I used this mould and mildew spray from Home Bargins for £1.25. Sprayed on and left for 15 mins and it was gone!"

Others Mrs Hinch fans were quick to praise the 'game-changing' product, saying it worked wonders for them too.

One wrote: "Brilliant stuff that. Use it on my blinds and walls."

Another agreed it was fantastic, commenting: "Worked on mine too. I sprayed on and when I went back to scrub them it had already gone, hasn't come back since!"

Someone else said: "Yes it's a total game changer and I use it all around the house. Washing machine, window ledges, blinds, window edges, even sprayed a garden ornament!"

People in the comments were also begging for an 'after' photograph, and she uploaded one to show how clean the blinds looked.

She later posted an update photo 'after 24 hours' (Facebook)

"I did mine in the bathroom like this. It never came back", a Mrs Hinch fan praised.

Someone else pointed out that you don't have to scrub, but you do need to 'spray and wipe off' after you've left it for the desired amount of time.

Another said it can be purchased in Wilko for just 95p.
