Mrs Hinch fan shares £5 cleaning hack to banish bathroom mould in minutes

Unfortunately, bathrooms can be a breeding ground for mould.

The hot, humid and damp conditions caused by our baths and showers, paired with poor ventilation, can see the unsightly grime flourish.

We've all spent too long trying to scrub out the mould that builds up between the bathroom tiles and around the windows - but it could all be a thing of the past thanks to a 'brilliant' solution, as reported by RSVP Live.

One woman took to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips New Facebook group to sing the praises of the HG Mould Spray, available in retailers including Tesco, B&Q and Homebase.

After others in the group had championed the product, she shared a snap of her new purchase and wrote: "This stuff is amazing. Thanks to those who recommended it."

It's available in major retailers and hardware stores (HG)

The much-loved mould remover varies in price depending on the size of the bottle, but can be picked up for as little as £4.97 in B&Q for a 0.5L spray.

The post racked up likes and shares as others added their own positive experiences.

One replied: "I bought this today from B&Q to battle the black mould that's appeared in my bathroom. Brilliant stuff.”

A second added: "Yep I use this, nothing else I’ve tried seems to work.

"Wouldn’t buy anything else although it does make the house smell like a swimming pool!"

The product description reads: “HG Mould Spray effectively removes all stains caused by mould, fungus and algae.

“These unsightly black or brown marks are found on the silicon seal between the bath tub and edges of tiles, on the shower cubicles and on plaster."

The mould spray should be used from a distance of 3 to 5cms, and if there are particularly badly affected areas, the process should be repeated after 30 minutes.

Leave the solution to soak in for half an hour before rinsing it off with water and a sponge.
