Mr Kipling has launched mint-flavoured French fancies - and two other new sweet treats

As part of an afternoon tea, on a buffet table, or as a quick snack, French fancies are a great versatile treat.

And now, as a new flavour has launched, the delicious cake bites can be dubbed an after-dinner chocolate too.

Mr Kipling has launched quite possibly the greatest hybrid of all times - after-dinner mint French fancies.

Famous for their exceedingly good cakes, the global baking brand's latest concoction features a gooey chocolate-flavoured sponge cake, followed by a mint creme topping, topped with chocolate fondant icing, MirrorOnline reports.

And unsurprisingly, people are going mad for them already, with the new creations having already been spotted in Morrisons and Tesco.

But that's not the only new launch that's on the cards, with Mr Kipling having just announced two other new products: chocolate, caramel and pecan slices as well as apple, pear and crumble tarts.

All the new launches are part of Mr Kipling's Signature Collection, which according to the brand is known for its premium ingredients, richer textures, fuller tastes and indulgent flavour combinations.

The three new additions to Mr Kipling's popular range are all available in Morrisons and Tescos nationwide this month (September).

Whilst the Mint Fancies will set you back £2.50 a pack, the slices and crumble tarts cost £2.25, although if you want them cheaper, they'll come with a promotion price of just £1.50.
