'Mr and Mrs Mahi', starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead, made it past the Rs 30 crore mark on its second weekend at the box office.
The sports film had a good run during its first week at the domestic box office, and earned an estimated Rs 5.6 crore in its second weekend. The film which closed off its first week collections with an estimated 24.45 crore collection, earned an estimated Rs 1.3 crore on Friday and added another Rs 2.15 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The film recorded an overall occupancy of 19.93% on Sunday.
Meanwhile, at the global box office, the film earned a gross total of Rs 34.6 crore.
Besides losing out on viewers owing to the India vs Pakistan match on Sunday, the movie also faced some stiff competition from new Hollywood releases like 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die'.
Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film features Janhvi as Mahima, a doctor, who becomes a cricketer after her husband Mahendra, essayed by Rajkummar, spots cricketing talent in her and encourages her to chase her dream. The film also features an ensemble cast that includes Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab among others.
