MPs vote against all eight Brexit alternatives - how your MP voted in three of the key options

MPs have given no majority to any of the eight Brexit alternatives in the series of indicative votes.

The votes were held in a bid to find out what sort of withdrawal MPs could support after they seized control of parliamentary business.

The exercise has now ended in a deadlock with no clear route forward.

MPs ruled out John Baron's no-deal Brexit by 400 votes to 160, Ken Clarke's call to remain in the customs union by 272 votes to 264, and a second referendum by 295 to 268.

George Eustice's softer Brexit through Efta and EEA vote was voted against by a majority of 312, Marcus Fysh's contingent preferential arrangements by a majority 283, Joanna Cherry's revocation to avoid no-deal by a majority 109, Nick Bole's common market 2.0 by a majority 95 and Labour's customs union with single market by majority 70.

Earlier, MPs voted by 441 to 105 to extend Article 50, delaying Britain's exit beyond the scheduled date on Friday.

Britain will now leave on May 12 if MPs back Theresa May's deal, for which she said she would step down if it was approved, or April 12 if Britain exits without a pact.
