MP Tracy Brabin auctioning off THAT dress after Holly Willoughby shut down trolls

MP Tracy Brabin is auctioning off an off-the-shoulder dress which prompted trolls to berate her - and This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby step in to defend her.

The Batley and Spen MP who took the seat after Jo Cox was murdered, was viciously trolled over the outfit she wore in the House of Commons.

She was branded "a tart" as a result of inadvertently exposing her shoulder in the chamber during Prime Minister's Questions.

She went onto the ITV This Morning programme to say: "This is everyday sexism, that a woman steps up and no one is listening to what she is saying - what they're doing is they're commenting on her appearnace.

"And why do they do it? Because it's a way to silence us. I'm not going to be silenced."

Tracy was criticised for her outfit in the House of Commons (PA)

Holly interrupted a debate and said: "Am I the only one that doesn't think that's inappropriate? I can't understand."

She is auctioning the dress on an online auction site, after saying it has now sold out on the shopping site Asos.

"Black dress worn by Tracy Brabin MP in ‘shouldergate’ as widely covered across the media," the listing read.

"This is an ASOS dress which has been flying off the shelves as a result of the coverage – and is now sold out!"

The money raised will go to Girlguiding, a charity for girls and young women in the UK.

She had been forced to tweet: "Sorry I don’t have time to reply to all of you commenting on this but I can confirm I’m not… A slag, Hungover, A tart, About to breastfeed, A slapper, Drunk, Just been banged over a wheelie bin.

"Who knew people could get so emotional over a shoulder…"
