BHOPAL: For the second consecutive day on Tuesday less than 4,000 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state as 3083 people tested positive.
Cases continued to decline as a day before on Monday 3,945 people had tested positive.
Against 3,083 people testing positive, 6527 people recovered on Tuesday.
A total of 4 deaths were reported on Tuesday. Three deaths were reported from Indore while one death was reported from Bhopal.
On February 8, there were 37,143 active cases in the state, as per the state health bulletin released by the directorate of health services.
New infections were reported from all the 52 districts of the state and in 46 districts cases were reported in double figures. Bhopal alone reported 610 new covid-19 cases.
Top five districts where maximum cases were reported include Bhopal where 610 new cases were reported, followed by Indore where 335 new cases were reported, then Jabalpur where 160 new cases were reported, 138 new cases were reported in Vidisha and 120 new cases were reported in Sagar district.
Positivity rate of 4.6 percent was reported in the state. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out of every 100 samples tested.
A total of 65848 samples were tested in the state. On the brighter side, 6527 people recovered, taking the count of those who have recovered so far from covid-19 to 964970.
