East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahgow MP, Dr Lisa Cameron, shared her expertise with the town's new representatives of the Scottish Youth Parliament.
She was delighted to congratulate the newly elected members of the Scottish Youth Parliament for East Kilbride, Jack Donaghy from Duncanrig High School and Lennon Boyle from St Andrew's and St Bride's.
Ms Cameron met Jack and Lennon personally to discuss their aims for their parliamentary term ahead and heard about their concerns for East Kilbride Town Centre alongside young people’s mental health and climate change.
She said “It was wonderful to meet with Jack and Lennon who have great plans to represent East Kilbride to the fullest.
"They will be wonderful advocates for our town within the Scottish Youth Parliament and also hope to link with the UK Youth Parliament over the next two years.
"I am keen to work collaboratively with them to support young people’s voices in politics”.
