Mozza pizza restaurants to open fifth branch at Glasgow shopping centre

Pizza chain Mozza is to open its fifth restaurant and create 20 jobs after signing up for a unit at Silverburn in Glasgow.

The brand - which describes itself as "the home of the authentic Neapolitan Pizza" - already has branches in the city's Renfield Street, Aberdeen, Dundee and St Andrews.

It plans to open at Silverburn shopping centre this month with seating for 120 diners, serving from noon seven days a week.

Mozza is owned by Giuseppe Marini, the Lanarkshire-based entrepreneur behind the Tony Macaroni chain of restaurants.

Its menu also promises focaccia flat breads, Italian starters, desserts, a bar and Italian wine list. Food will also be available to take away or for delivery via Deliveroo.

A Mozza spokesman said: “We’ve been planning the opening of Mozza Silverburn for many months and we’re delighted it is finally happening. It’s a challenging time for the hospitality industry and it feels great to be opening the doors to somewhere new, that we know our guests will love."
