'Moving' optical illusion challenges people to make it stay still in 10 seconds

Even in this day and age, optical illusions are a fun way to get competitive with friends, family and coworkers alike.

Putting in the effort to decode the images can be satisfying - especially when you are the one getting there first. Things aren't always what the seem, and in this particular image, your eyes will be tricked into 'moving'.

Viewers have been challenged to make the spread of leaves stay still - and the trick is time.

This new optical illusion from Rainbow Riches Casino is designed to trick your brain, as the completely stationary image appears to move in front of your very eyes.

If you focus on one part of the illusion for 10 seconds, your brain will adjust, and the image will no longer move.

This style of optical illusion relies on a repeated pattern which, when your eyes move around the image, tricks your brain and merges it into one moving image.

If you focus and stare at one section of the design only, the image will appear to be still after a few seconds as your brain adjusts to the pattern.

Were you able to get it to stop moving? Let us know in the comments.
