Moving moment Ewan McGregor leaves his photo signing booth at Edinburgh Comic Con

A Tik-Tok video has begun circulating online that shows renowned Scottish actor Ewan McGregor, taking time out of his Comic Con duties to listen to Jodi Benson sing a song from the Little Mermaid.

Benson is known around the world for her beautiful voice and portrayal of the character Ariel in the Disney hit, the Little Mermaid. McGregor, the former Trainspotting star, can be seen filming the performance with a smile on his face in footage shared by social media user, icclenomi.

Audience members seem to be taken aback by the beautiful performance of ‘Part Of Your World.’ Benson provided the voice for Ariel in the 1989 animated film.

She sang the tune in front of a backdrop of the Little Mermaid and McGregor was seen taking it all in whilst also filming the American actress and singer. Those in the crowd burst into a round of applause after she had finished.

Comic Con Scotland took place over last weekend (Saturday 8 and Sunday 9) at the Royal Highland Centre. Those in attendance were able to meet Star Wars royalty in Obi Wan Kenobi as well as legends Anthony Daniels, Jimmy Vee, Angus MacInnes and Denis Lawson.

On their website, the event organisers also said that attendees would be able to meet other “awesome guests” from the ‘Vampire Diaries’, ‘Fantastic Beasts’, ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Buffy the Vampire.’ The Hobbit’s Graham McTavish was also understood to be at the event along with Lord of the Rings star John Rhys Davies.

Still Game stars Paul Riley, Jane McCarry, Gavin Mitchell, and Sanjeev Kohli were also there to greet fans. It is believed that tens of thousands of fans poured into the venue on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Live reported how Ewan McGregor had taken to the stage to thank the large crowd of fans that had shown up to the event. He was met with cheers from those who had turned up in fancy dress.
