
Nanakamado (mountain ash), dakekanba (gold birch) and other trees tinged with the autumn-like hues of red and yellow on Thursday weave a brilliant tapestry at the foot of Daisetsuzan mountain range in Kamikawa, Hokkaido. About 10,000 visitors each year hike a trail about 6 kilometers that runs along Shikibunuma marsh and other locations in the town.
