Moussa Sissoko casts doubt on Mauricio Pochettino's future at Tottenham

Moussa Sissoko has cast doubt on Mauricio Pochettino 's future at Tottenham after he gave an interview that seemed to suggest a new coach could be on the way.

Pochettino has emerged as one of the favourites to replace Max Allegri at Juventus .

And the Tottenham boss recently hinted it might be time for 'a new chapter' if he led his side to Champions League glory against Liverpool in the June 1 final in Madrid.

Now French midfielder Sissoko has dropped a hint that this could be Pochettino's last season at Spurs.

Sissoko was asked whether his future at Tottenham depended on that of Pochettino.

Speaking on Canal Football Club, in quotes reported by Get Football News France , Sissoko said: "Not necessarily, I don’t know.

"At the end of the season, it could be that they have a new project, that a new coach comes, and he doesn’t count on me, he wants to sell me. Many different things could happen. But for the moment I feel good there, I am happy there. And in my head I have no thoughts of leaving."

Sissoko added: "Today I feel good over there, this year everything is going well for me. I am still under contract with them so all is good. But anything can happen in football very quickly.”

Pochettino has said he may have to leave Tottenham after five years if they can not match the big spending of their Premier League rivals. Spurs didn't sign a single player last summer.

And the manager said: "I am not open to start a new chapter with no plan, with no clear idea, with not being transparent.

"If we expect every season to be in the final of the Champions League, we need to create a plan. And the plan maybe is different to what has happened in the last five years.

"If we believe that if we operate in the same way that we have operated in the last five years we are going to be every season in the final of the Champions League, and in the top four and competing against projects like Liverpool or Manchester City or Manchester United , I think we are very naive."
