Moussa Dembele 'wanted by Arsenal and PSG' as bidding war could drive up Celtic windfall

A report in France states that Moussa Dembele is wanted by a host of Europe's top clubs this summer.

The striker left Celtic in 2016 to join Lyon and has become one of the most prolific strikers in Ligue 1.

That's brought him to the attention of some of the continent's giants, and with a big sell-on clause inserted in the deal that took him back to France the powerbrokers at Celtic Park will be paying keen attention.

Manchester United and Chelsea were linked with January moves, and now it's reported three more big hitters are interested.

According to Footmercato, Arsenal have been weighing up a move for Dembele if Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave the Emirates this summer.

Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen, while there's an enticing option in Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain have lost Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Edinson Cavani, leaving Mauro Icardi as the only out-and-out striker in their squad.

They're also said to be interested in a deal for Dembele, who would provide competition for Icardi, but the capital club haven't yet opened talks.

Lyon sporting director Juninho admitted in June: "If we receive offers we'll analyse them.

"Moussa had a good season, he still has room for improvement, he brings us a lot and scores a lot."
