Moussa Dembele 'targeted' by Henrik Larsson for Barcelona move as star lined up as Luis Suarez replacement

Henrik Larsson has lined up Moussa Dembele as Barcelona's replacement for out of favour Luis Suarez, according to a report.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports the Swedish coach has been in touch with the Frenchman over a move to the Camp Nou as part of new manager Ronald Koeman's revolution.

33-year-old Suarez was told last week that he would have no future with the La Liga club under the new management team.

Lyon are set to sell the Frenchman after finishing the season in seventh place in Ligue 1 and missing out on Champions League football.

Celtic have a sell-on fee thought to be in the region of between 10 and 15 per cent if the player moves on and given his £60m valuation, the Hoops could be in line for a major windfall if the deal goes through.

The fee kicks in on any amount over the £20m Lyon paid in 2018.

And Lyon's director of football Juninho admitted the striker would be moved on after his club's semi-final defeat to Bayern Munich.

He said: “If we continue the way we have, we will be back in the Champions League very soon.

“Players will be leaving, like Houssem Aouar and Moussa Dembele, but I’m not worried.

“We want to secure Champions League football next season."

Dembele has scored 44 goals in France including a double that sent Pep Guardiola's Manchester City spinning out of the quarter final of the Champions League.

He scored 53 goals in 94 games in a glory laden spell in Glasgow.
