Moussa Dembele makes Man Utd transfer decision amid Liverpool and Arsenal interest

Moussa Dembele has confirmed he will stay at Lyon this summer.

The former Celtic striker has been linked with a move to Manchester United , while Arsenal and Liverpool are both believed to be interested.

Dembele only joined Lyon in a £19.7m deal last summer from Celtic but his form caught the eye of the Premier League sides.

The 22-year-old is currently away with France U21s at the European Championships and scored in the 1-0 victory over Croatia on Friday night.

And after the match, Dembele was asked about his future amid interest from the Premier League.

“I still have 4 years left on my contract, I will be in Lyon next season," Dembele said.

Celtic were set to net a hefty windfall from the transfer if Dembele moved on, with Lyon said to be looking for around £45m for the striker.

The Scottish champions inserted a 10 per cent sell-on clause in their deal with Lyon but will now be made to wait to receive any sum.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add attacking reinforcements this summer after a frustrating end to the season.

Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku are both free to depart for the right fee and Dembele had been identified as a target by the Red Devils.

Lille's Nicolas Pepe is also on Solskjaer's radar as he plots a summer overhaul at Old Trafford.

Arsenal's interest is likely to have been slight given the presence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at the Emirates, while Dembele would have had to settle for a back-up role if he joined European champions Liverpool.
