Moussa Dembele Arsenal transfer news as Celtic sell-on windfall remains alive

Celtic could be set for a transfer windfall as Arsenal reportedly move for Moussa Dembele.

The Frenchman starred for the Parkhead club for two seasons before moving to Lyon in a £20million deal.

Also included was a sell-on clause of 10-15 per cent, and that looked set to arrive when Dembele joined Atletico Madrid in January.

The striker was signed on loan with an option to buy but his spell in Spain has been frustrating.

The 24-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 shortly after arriving, and fainted in training on his return.

He was brought as backup for Luis Suarez but has managed just four substitute appearances in La Liga.

Arsenal have been linked with him in the past and according to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal have made enquiries about his availability in the summer.

Compatriot Alexandre Lacazette looks set to move on at the end of the season and Dembele could be available for around £25million.

Arsenal have also shown interest in current Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, with Leicester City and Milan among his other suitors.
