
Traffic police have advised people planning to lay sandalwood flowers for the late King Bhumibol to allow extra travel time.
The Traffic Police Division on Thursday warned of traffic congestion near the replicas of the royal crematorium at all nine locations in Greater Bangkok.
The replicas have been set up at the Royal Plaza, the Royal Thai Air Force stadium in Don Muang district, Putthamonthon Park in Putthamonthon district of Nakhon Pathom, Bitec in Bang Na district, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Lat Krabang district, City Hall, the former Government Lottery Office on Ratchadamnoen Avenue, Nakha Pirom Park and the Memorial Bridge.
Traffic congestion was reported on the Bang Na-Trat Highway near Bitec in Bang Na district, and near the air force stadium on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Don Muang district.
