Mourners urged not to leave football colours at memorial to 'murdered' Glasgow dad

Mourners have been urged not to leave football colours at the memorial of young dad allegedly murdered on a Glasgow street.

Heartbreaking tributes have been paid to dad-of-two and stepdad-to-one Kamil Charyszyn after he died on Conisborough Road, in the Easterhouse area of the city, on Sunday night with a fundraiser in his honour reaching nearly £20,000.

Police launched a murder probe after the 35-year-old had allegedly been confronted by a group before being stabbed to death at around 10pm.

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

Flowers and tributes have piled up at the scene where Kamil was discovered.

Although Kamil was a fan of the Hoops, mourners have been urged to only bring Scottish or Polish flags in tribute to the young dad along with flowers.

In a post on social media family friend Charlene Reynolds, who organised the fundraiser for the family, said a Celtic shirt had been removed from the scene.

Charlene wrote on social media: "ONLY SALTIRES OR POLISH FLAGS/ SCARFS on Conisborough Road and flowers, candles at the family home.

"Please respect the families wishes.

A post she shared said: "The family have asked that no football colours be placed at Kamil's memorial place... or at their home.

"The Celtic top that was there today was taken down this morning.

"Please respect the family's wishes at this horrendous time."

Charlene set up an online GoFundMe page to help support the family through the tragedy.

At the time of writing it has reached an incredible £19,376.

Devastated friends and wellwishers have paid tribute.

One wrote: "My heart goes out to this poor man's family. May he rest in peace. Amen."

Another added: "So sad for all his family and friends to lose his life in such horrible circumstances. God Bless and keep his family safe and well. RIP Kamil."

A third wrote: "My thoughts and prayers to you all at this tragic time. God bless you Kamil you will never walk alone."

Charlene has also organised for a balloon launch told be held in Balfluig Street on Sunday at 2pm.
