'Mourinho in big trouble!' - Some Spurs fans have transfer warning after Tanguy Ndombele injury

It has not been a good start to the new year for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, after he went off injured after just 20 minutes of Spurs' game against Southampton.

Jose Mourinho's men are on the south coast taking on Southampton, with Danny Ings scoring the only goal of the first half of the contest.

But while going behind was disappointing for Spurs , an injury to Ndombele has compounded the setback, with the Frenchman forced off after taking a knock early on in the game.

The Portuguese boss had handed Tanguy Ndombele his chance, after the Frenchman controversially missed the Boxing Day win over Brighton because he "was not in condition" to play and he was duly rewarded.

What to expect from Tottenham in the January transfer window

Ndombele was brilliant against Norwich on Saturday on his return to the side, as one of the few standout performers in the 2-2 draw at Carrow Road.

But his latest injury setback has got some Tottenham fans talking this afternoon about the Frenchman and what it means for Spurs on the first day of the January transfer window.

Here's what some Spurs fans have been saying about the injury on social media.

What do you make of the injury setback?

And do you think it will change Mourinho's thinking for the January transfer window?
