Colorado State at New Mexico

Recap: (Josh) – The Colorado State Rams won an ugly game 35-21 against the New Mexico Lobos. Both teams turned it over twice, but the Rams were able to make the most of their chances. New Mexico had its own opportunities but couldn’t finish when it mattered.

The Rams out-gained the Lobos by over 200 yards. Patrick O’Brien went 25-34 for 420 yards and two scores. The main beneficiary was the returning Warren Jackson. Jackson had nine catches for 214 yards and both scores. Dequan Jackson was a force on defense, as he finished with nine tackles and two fumble recoveries.

San Jose State at Nevada

Brandon Talton’s 40 yard field goal on the last play of the game lifted the Nevada Wolf Pack over the San Jose State Spartans 41-38.
It was a contest that saw Nevada have a 21-point lead on San Jose State early but the Spartans offense led by Josh Love was able to tie it up at 31-31 late in the fourth quarter.
The Wolf Pack offense was able to pull it together and reclaim the lead at 38-31 but San Jose State tied it at 38 when Spartans running back DeJon Packer scored on a 1 yard touchdown with 2:36 left in the game.
In the final drive of the game, Nevada marched down the field with some strong running from Toa Taua  that set up the game winning field goal for Nevada.
In his first FBS start. Wolf Pack quarterback Malik Henry completed 22 of 37 passes for 352 yard and threw one touchdown and two interceptions. Toa Taua ran for 160 yards on 34 carries for one touchdown as Nevada improves their records to 4-2 for the season.
