Mountain West Football: Four Named To 2019 Outland Trophy Watch List

Watch list season continued today with the release of the Outland Trophy’s list of players to follow. Given annually to the nation’s best interior lineman, there are four athletes from the Mountain West in this iteration.
Boise State landed a pair of players on the Outland watch list in Ezra Cleveland and John Molchon. Cleveland played like the best offensive lineman in the conference last fall, and graded out as such according to Pro Football Focus, while Molchon’s physical impressiveness helped him to combine with Cleveland as the most formidable left side in the Mountain West.
San Diego State’s Keith Ismael, meanwhile, makes another watch list appearance after splitting time at center and guard last season. Nevada left tackle Jake Nelson also made the Outland list after anchoring a Union that allowed just over one sack per game in 2018.
Last year’s Outland Trophy winner was former Alabama defensive lineman Quinnen Williams.
