Mountain rescue teams have been searching woodland for a missing woman.
Angela Frost, 50, was last seen at around 1.45am on Saturday (July 11) on High Street in Lees, Oldham.
Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for Angela and want to make sure she is safe and well.
Oldham Mountain Rescue team members have been assisting Greater Manchester Police with the search for Angela scouring wooded areas on Monday and Tuesday evening.
On Monday the team searched some steep wooded areas of Lees with three dogs and a drone.
They spent more than three hours searching the area before they were forced to abandon the search due to the failing light.
Dozens of team members picked up the search again the following day as scoured steep wooded terrain, dense vegetation and stream banks, working for five hours before again abandoning the search when night fell.
Angela is described as being approximately 5ft tall and of a medium build. She has short/shoulder length back hair.
She was last seen wearing a blue and white striped top, black leggings, black slip on shoes and was carrying a pillow and a duvet with a USA flag print.
“Angela hasn’t got her mobile phone with her and doesn’t have access to a vehicle,” a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said.
“Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Angela and want to make sure they are safe and well.”
A post on the Oldham Mountain Rescue Facebook page posted on Tuesday stated that 22 team members were involved in a search for three hours and 30 minutes.
It reads: “A request came in from Greater Manchester Police at tea time on Tuesday asking for assistance to search some steep wooded areas of Lees, looking for a missing person.
“The area was divided into areas and we deployed with 3 dogs and 2 sections, plus GMP Tactical Aid Unit, while GMP's drone provided information from overhead.”
The following day a post read: “A continuation of the Greater Manchester Police search tasking from yesterday looking for a missing person in the Lees area.
“Following the completion of the search areas from Monday evening, the Team were allocated a new search area which included a combination of steep wooded terrain, dense vegetation and stream banks. We again deployed 2 sections and 3 dogs, accompanied by GMP's tactical Aid Unit.
“Unfortunately, the missing person had not been located by nightfall when the search had to be abandoned due to the poor light conditions.
“24 OMRT personnel were involved for 5 hours.”
