Mountain biking come and try for women and girls

Want to give mountain biking a go but don't know where to start?

The Canberra Off-Road Cyclists are running three "come and try" mountain-biking sessions for girls and young women (12 to 18 years) this June and July.

The sessions will be run in small groups, with experienced coaches who will make the sessions fun and inclusive.

Adventure sports can be hard to break into, particularly for girls and young women who don't know other people or don't have the right equipment.

Participation is $5, made possible with a Women's Sport and Recreation Participation and Leadership Grant from the ACT government.

No mountain-bike experience is necessary, but participants will need to be able to ride a bike with some confidence.
