Motsi Mabuse says 'people find a way for hate' after she appeared unhappy with Rose and Giovanni's win

Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has hit back at online criticism over her apparent displeasure at Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice winning the 2021 glitterball.

Viewers were quick to comment on the judge's expression on Saturday night when the couple beat John Whaite and Johannes Radebe to the title.

But the judging panel powerhouse wasn't having any of it and made that very clear on Twitter on Sunday afternoon as she replied to a negative comment claiming she didn't look happy with the results.

Retweeting the comment, Motsi said: "Even after such an emotional and fantastic final people still will find a way for hate! Imagine sitting at the living room and interpreting this??

"It’s a shame! Thank you for all the love and support I received they override this comment by the thousands."

Despite giving the winning couple glowing praise, telling the EastEnders actress she has "improved as a person" due to being able to watch her dance, many other Strictly fans had noted how Motsi seemed "unhappy" with the result last night.

Matt Atkinson wrote: "Anyone else notice Motsi’s face when the winner was announced? …I don’t think she was so happy. Grimacing face #Strictly2021"

"Motsi looked absolutely fuming with the result there! #Strictly2021 #Strictly," one Twitter user wrote.
