Motsi Mabuse looks as if she's 'fuming' as Rose and Giovanni claim Strictly Come Dancing title

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice glided their way to a Strictly Come Dancing win last night but it seemed that not everyone was over-the-moon for their win.

Or, at least if judge Motsi Mabuse was happy, her face hadn't quite got the message yet as fans of the BBC One show pointed out on Twitter last night.

Despite giving the winning couple glowing praise, telling the EastEnders actress she has "improved as a person" due to being able to watch her dance, many Strictly fans noted how Motsi seemed "unhappy" with the result.

Matt Atkinson wrote: "Anyone else notice Motsi’s face when the winner was announced? …I don’t think she was so happy. Grimacing face #Strictly2021"

"Motsi looked absolutely fuming with the result there! #Strictly2021 #Strictly," one Twitter user wrote.

"#Strictly congratulations to Rose and Giovanni. Motsi’s face as the result was announced priceless, not a happy bunny," another viewer said.

And Julie Smith said what many thought: "Going by the look on Motsi’s face when they announced the winner she obviously wanted John & Johannes to win #Strictly "

But on Sunday afternoon Motsi took to Twitter to respond to the claims. You can read what she said here.

Ayling-Ellis and her pro partner, Giovanni Pernice beat same-sex couple, Bake Off's John Whaite and pro dancer Johannes Radebe, in a show filled with emotion for so many reasons.

Both finalists broke new ground in being the first deaf contestant and the first same-sex couple to reach the final and tears were also flowing because third finalist, AJ Odudu had to pull out of the dancing because of a torn ligament in her foot.
