Motorists warned two Monklands roads will be closed later this month

An Airdrie road will be shut all day on August 22 for work by Telecoms.

The B8058 Connor Street (southbound carriageway) is closing between Kilwinning Crescent and the A89 Forrest Street, with the A73 Motherwell Street and the B8058 Braidenhirst Road acting as diversions.

And Meikle Drumgray Road in Greengairs is closing for a 24-hour period from August 28.

This is for carriageway resurfacing work and will apply from Darngavil Road to Haul Road; Dykehead Road and the A73 Stirling Road will be among the alternative routes for drivers.
