Motorists warned of disruption as two Lanarkshire roads to close for five days

Two Airdrie roads will close for five-day periods over the next couple of weeks.

The town's Faskine Avenue will shut from May 9-13 for the completion of carriageway patching works.

This will apply between Bellsdyke Road and Firhill Avenue, with both of those roads and Woodburn Avenue available as alternative routes to motorists, while pedestrians can still access the road “where practical”.

And carriageway resurfacing will see Airdriehill Road in Airdrie close from May 16-20, from Ballochney Road to Burnhead Road.

Drivers will be able to use Ballochney Road, Dykehead Road and the A73 Stirling Road as diversions for the duration of the closure.
