Road users have been recommended to avoid the route reserved for the transport of the body of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital to the Grand Palace on Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police Bureau said on Friday drivers should avoid some or all sections of eight roads designated as the route to transport the body of the late princess from the hospital to Phiman Rattaya Throne Hall.

The Royal Household announced the route to be used from 3.30pm on Saturday. The motorcade will depart the hospital on Henry Dunant Road and arrive at the throne hall through the Wiset Chaisri Gate of the Grand Palace.

The route will use some or all sections of the following roads:

  • Henry Dunant
  • Rama IV Road
  • Phaya Thai
  • Sri Ayutthaya
  • Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue
  • Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue
  • Ratchadamnoen Nai Avenue
  • Na Phra Lan

The bureau announced on Friday that the princess passed away on Thursday night.
