A driver who fled the scene of a single-vehicle collision in Porthcawl on Friday night (October 15) was later caught by South Wales Police Road Policing Unit.
Quick actions from the force's attending specials and information from the public helped the unit, who subsequently arrested the motorist on suspicion of drink driving.
Taking to Twitter in the early hours of Saturday, South Wales Police said: "A single vehicle RTC in Porthcawl this evening - sadly the driver didn’t want to hang around to talk to us!
"Quick actions of attending @SWPSpecials and information from the public meant the driver was able to be arrested for drink driving by @SWP_Roads".
