A motorist has been left in despair after a brand new Lamborghini thought to be worth £200,000 was wrecked just 20 minutes after it was bought.
The shiny new sports car was left badly damaged in a crash on the M1 near Wakefield, West Yorkshire at around 1pm today, Yorkshire Live reports.
According to police, the black Lamborghini Huracan came to a halt on the motorway after suffering a mechanical failure.
It was then hit from behind by a by a van, taking off a wheel and crumpling most of its back.
The accident occurred on the motorway's southbound carriageway, between Junction 40 at Flushdyke and Junction 39 at Durkar.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the Lamborghini collided with a van, leaving the van driver with head injuries.
The injuries are not believed to be serious.
PC Richard Whiteley of West Yorkshire Police tweeted a picture of the damage to the sports car.
PC Whiteley said: "It’s only a car! But on this occasion a 20-minute-old brand new Lamborghini that stopped due mechanical failure in lane three, then hit from behind [by a vehicle] #couldhavecried"
The crash caused large delays on the southbound carriageway, which was closed while the vehicles were recovered.
All lanes were reopened by 2.50pm.
