A motorist was forced to flee from their car after it burst into flames in Wishaw.
The incident, which involved a red Volkswagen Passat, occurred at the roundabout on Kirk Road close to Morrisons supermarket on Friday afternoon.
Police and the fire service attended after receiving a report of the vehicle on fire just before 12.15pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service later confirmed that the cause of the blaze was an electrical fault with the car.
The road was closed for a time at Kirk Road from Wishaw Cross and Campbell Street which led to tailbacks in the area.
