Gardai arrested a driver on suspicion of drug-driving and seized their car after discovering it had no tax or NCT in Co Kildare.
Naas Roads Policing Unit were conducting a checkpoint when they apprehended the motorist.
And a drug test reading showed a positive result for cannabis.
A Garda spokesperson said:"Driver arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Proceedings to follow."
Meanwhile, in Limerick, another driver had their Ford Focus vehicle seized for having no tax, insurance or NCT.
The NCT disc had expired in March 2019, the tax disc displayed was only valid till November 2019 and the insurance had lapsed in October 2019.
A tweet from the official Garda Traffic account said: "While using the Mobility App, the Limerick Roads Policing Unit found that this driver was uninsured, had no tax and no NCT.
"The car was seized and court proceedings to follow."
