A motorist was arrested over the weekend after testing positive for three types of drug.

The person behind the wheel then failed a roadside drugs test which showed they had cocaine, cannabis and opiates in their system.

Officers also discovered the motorist wasn't insured, had no licence and was driving a car which they didn't own.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai from Togher Garda Station saw a car driving in a peculiar manner.

"Driver was given a roadside drug test, which they failed.

"Further enquires showed that the driver has no licence, insurance and didn't even own the car! Arrested and court to follow."
