Motorcyclist who died after A369 Portbury Hundred crash named

A motorcylist who died shortly after a crash near Portishead has been named as 50-year-old Peter Fox.

The Portishead resident collided with a car on the A369 Portbury Hundred shortly after 9.30am on Sunday (October 27).

Mr Fox died shortly after receiving treatment at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries and four children who were also in the car were unharmed.

Mr Fox's family have said he will be "dearly missed" by them and his friends, adding they would like privacy at this difficult time.

A police spokesperson said: "We’d still like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who has not contacted or spoken to us.

"We’d particularly like to hear from motorists who may have dash cam footage.

"If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219248636."
