Motorcyclist taken to hospital following crash with tractor that closed Llanelli road

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash with a tractor that closed a Llanelli road.

The crash occurred on the  B4308 Penymynydd to Trimsaran road, at around 3.50pm on Tuesday, March 3.

Witnesses said emergency services were at the scene turning cars away while they dealt with the crash.

The rider of the motorbike is currently recovering from his injuries at Morriston Hospital in Swansea.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed Powys Police, said: “Dyfed-Powys Police attended a road traffic collision which occurred on the B4308 Penymynydd to Trimsaran road, Llanelli at approximately 3.50pm on Tuesday, 3 March 2020.

"A tractor and a motorcycle were involved in the collision. The rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.”

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service, added: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the B4308, Llanelli at approximately 3.48pm on Tuesday 4 March. We responded with one emergency ambulance and the Wales Air Ambulance.

"One patient was transferred by road to Morriston Hospital, Swansea for treatment.”
