A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash involving a car. The drama happened on a suburban road in Hyde this afternoon (Tuesday).
The emergency services were scrambled to Mottram Road in Hyde at 12.29pm after the motorbike and a black Nissan car were involved in a collision.
Pictures from the scene showed the car suffered serious damage to its front offside and ended on the pavement. The bike was also badly damaged and ended on its side in the road.
Paramedics were called to the scene - between Halton Street and the Sportsman pub - and the biker was treated in the road before being taken to hospital with suspected leg injuries. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening. No-one else is thought to have been physically hurt in the incident.
Greater Manchester Police officers were also called to the scene of the crash and have started an investigation. The road remained closed to traffic this afternoon.
