Motorcyclist taken to hospital after 'hit and run' crash near Asda

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after colliding with a car which failed to stop near Asda in Bedminster.

The vehicles crashed on Coronation Road, close to the junction with Asda, at 8.55pm last night (October 26).

The driver of the car continued to drive in the direction of Cumberland Basin without stopping.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said: “At shortly before 8.55pm on Tuesday, October 26 we were called to a two-vehicle collision in Coronation Road, in Bristol.

“A motorbike and a car had collided, close to the junction with the Asda supermarket. The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene, with the vehicle heading in the direction of the Cumberland Basin.

“The motorcyclist attended hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

“Enquiries to identify the car and motorist involved, including reviewing CCTV, are ongoing.

“Witnesses, or anyone with dashcam of the area, should call 101 and give reference number 5221251661.”
