A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries following a one vehicle collision on the A470 Saturday night.
Police were called to the scene, near the junction for Pontypridd, known as the Brown Lennox bends at 9.15 pm.
In an update released just after 9.30pm on Saturday , South Wales Police said: "Officers are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the the A470 near the Pontypridd junction.
Police are investigating the collision, which occurred on the southbound carriageway.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact 101, quoting 1900255519.
They are also appealing for anyone who may have dash-cam footage to aid the investigaiton.
