A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a car in Widnes this afternoon.
Police were called to the scene, on the eastbound carriageway of the A562 Speke Road, shortly after 2pm today (Tuesday).
A man was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries described as serious but not life threatening or life changing.
It is not believed anyone else was injured in the crash.
Cheshire Police warned people to avoid the area as there was lots of congestion while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The carriageway is now believed to have fully re-opened.
