A biker was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was thrown from his bike during a crash in Chorlton.
He also suffered serious injuries to his pelvis, right leg and right wrist, police said.
The motorcyclist, 21, was in collision with a silver BMW 320D on Barlow Moor Road at the junction with Maitland Avenue.
The smash happened at 12.40pm on Saturday, July 6.
The BMW driver stayed at the scene and no arrests were made, a GMP spokesman said.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the motorcyclist, who was riding a multi-coloured Honda CBR 600, prior to the collision.
