Motorcyclist struck by car on busy Falkirk road as emergency services rush to scene

A motorcyclist has been stuck by a car in Falkirk this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the smash involving a car and motorbike on Glasgow Road, in Camelon.

Cops and paramedics were sent to the scene next to the Shell Garage and Alexander Dennis shortly at around 12:55pm on Friday August, 2.

An ambulance and road traffic cops attended the incident.

The main road, which runs through the town, remained open with police directing the traffic.

It's not known how badly the person has been injured at this stage.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.55pm on Friday, 3 September, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a motorcyclist on Glasgow Road in Falkirk.

"Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injury."
