Motorcyclist seriously injured in horror crash near Loch Lomond as road closed

A biker has been seriously injured after a crash with a motorhome near Loch Lomond.

The scenic road remains closed after emergency services were first called to the scene on the A82 near Luss at around 4.20pm on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist has been rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment after being badly hurt.

A diversion is in place with motorists being urged to find an alternative route while police remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.20pm we received a report of a crash on the A82 near Luss involving a motorbike and a campervan.

“Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

“The road is closed.”

Traffic Scotland tweeted: “A82 closure. Road remains closed in both directions at Luss due to an RTC.

"Emergency services on the scene.

“Road users are advised to use a new diversion through Luss.”
