A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries following a crash in Atherton.
Newbrook Road was closed for around four hours on Wednesday while accident investigation work was carried out.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene just before 3pm following reports of a collision between a motorbike and a BMW.
The motorcyclist - whose age has not been released - was seriously hurt and taken to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Bus services were diverted while investigations were carried out, and the road reopened just before 7pm.
A spokesman for GMP said: "We were called just before 3pm to reports of an RTC on Newbrook Road in Atherton involving a BMW and a motorbike.
"The motorcyclist suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries."

The North West Ambulance Service added: "We sent two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle to the scene.
"We took one male patient to hospital with serious injuries."
