Motorcyclist seriously injured after horror Aberdeen crash

A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after a horror crash in Aberdeen last night.

Emergency services raced to Whitestripes Road, at the B997 junction, just before 7pm on Thursday after reports of a two-car crash.

A 36-year-old male, who was driving a KTM motorbike, was rushed by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition.

The male driver of the Mazda CX-7 car involved and his female passenger were uninjured in the incident.

Cops are appealing for anyone with information or dash cam footage to get in touch.

Constable Callum Kerr, from the Road Policing Unit based at Inverurie is urging any witnesses to come forward.

He said: “Our investigation into this crash is continuing and I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident, or who was on that road shortly before the crash occurred to contact us.

"I would also ask anyone driving on Whitestripes Road at the B997 junction shortly before 6.50pm who has dash-cam footage to come forward.”

Any information on the incident can be passed to officers through 101 quoting reference 2533 of 25 February.
